Wine for your weekend

True MythTrue Myth Cabernet Sauvignon – I recently went back to my college town to visit friends, and in the process got pulled into an impromptu birthday dinner for one of the women. As part of the dinner, someone brought a bottle of wine that they had picked up at a trendy wine and coffee bar in town, and it ended up being a total winner!  First, the labeling on this bottle is striking. It just looked beautiful and inviting sitting on the table, and was the perfect palette for a fall spread. Upon opening the bottle, pepper, oak, and berry were strong on the nose. I LOVE a peppery red wine, and the aroma was exactly what I want from a cabernet. Notes of blueberry, pepper, spice, and cocoa blended with the pepper and red berries on the first sip, and the wine finishes smoothly with just the slightest hint of oak. This bottle was fabulous! The perfect compliment to a wonderful evening with friends, and one I’m certainly on the hunt for again as the weather turns colder!
