Lucky Heron Publishing was created out of necessity in September 2025, when Kate learned that the original publisher of In the Shade of Olive Trees was going out of business. To ensure the novel remained in print, Lucky Heron was founded to take over its publication and distribution. On October 7, the book officially became the first title released under the Lucky Heron Publishing imprint.
Lucky Heron Publishing will release its first new title in 2026, Kate’s 3rd novel By Any Other Name.
Although we are not currently accepting title submissions, Lucky Heron Publishing does offer editorial services. An English major, language arts teacher, and three-time novelist, Kate brings both experience and a discerning eye to every stage of the editing process.
